Fitness Day

Sports and other field activities benefit children in multiple different ways. It initiates discipline, confidence and leadership skills among children. Hence, sports event is considered as one of the main annual event in Little Gems Play School. This year they enjoyed a productive sports day by participating in fun race called feeding the frog along with cheering friends throughout.

 
 

Christmas at Little Gems

Christmas is one of the most loved festival for each and every children around the globe. This year little gems celebrated Christmas at our school playground. They had fun singing Christmas carols, dancing to Christmas songs and taking photograph at the photo booth with their friends. Snow man and Santa Clause also accompanied them throughout, and in the end they received toffees from Santa.

Show and Tell Winter Fruits and Vegetables

Little Gems Play School always take initiative to teach children about the seasonal fruits and vegetables. This winter they had a fun learning session with their teachers about winter fruits and vegetables. They learnt about the taste, shape, colour and nutritional value of each produce at the class.

 
 

Day Trip to The Sister School

Winter is the season for fun outdoor school trips and Little Gems Play School hasn’t kept any exception with their children. Our children had a fun day with their friends and teachers at their sister school, Ashok Hall Play School. They had a joyous bus ride from their own school and met new friends there, spent a day with them and returned back to their school.

National Mango Day

National mango day was celebrated in Little Gems Play School on July 22nd. on this day, Kids planted mango seed and sapling with the help of their teacher followed by learning about the colour and taste of the national fruit through flashcards. This exciting session for the little ones ended with an animated video about mango shown by the teachers.

 
 

Rainy Day for Little Gems

It is very important to stay safe and sound during rainy season. Little Gems Play School had also taken an initiative to educate children about the monsoon safety protocols. Through this activity, the kids got to learn how to protect themselves during rain and to stay healthy during the harsh monsoon weather. This session not only allowed them to learn those protocols but also provided them a chance to enjoy a fun water activity with their friends in school.

Mastering Motor Skills

We always encourage the students to develop their motor skills in order to have a proper eye-hand coordination. Practicing that through various fun activities, encourage them to master the same. One of those activities which has been recently added is making lemonade. In this session, each child was given half of a lemon to extract juice using a lime squeezer and then pouring it in the glass into prepare lemonade by adding syrup and water. Lastly, enjoying freshly prepared lemonade with their friends in school.

 
 

Practice Makes Perfect

It is important to start learning basic life skills form a very young age. Hence, we always try to incorporate daily activities within the classes. The little gems were taught how to use a spoon without spilling food in one of the basic skill development classes. These type of sessions, not only allow them to learn the skills but also let them enjoy a healthy homemade meal with their friends in school.

National Doctor’s Day

Doctors are our saviours and hope during tough times. Hence, there is no better day to thank and show gratitude towards them on National Doctor’s Day. Children took part in a doctor-patient role play followed by thanking and wishing the doctors in our country for their love and care towards humanity by holding up small play cards with messages.

 
 

Easter day

Easter is one of the most colourful and fun festival for kids to enjoy. It includes colouring Easter eggs, making bunny faces and different other colourful crafts. This year our little gems had a wonderful time celebrating Easter with their friends and teachers. Along with colourful craft activities, they were also taught about the festival.

International Dance Day

Dance is not only a form of art and culture but it is also a therapy for the soul. It is a way to express own feelings, and it is important to teach children how to express themselves from a very young age. Our little gems had put together a little dance show on the occasion of the international dance day

 
 

International Earth Day

We, at little gems play school always take initiatives to educate the children about environment. Hence the initiative to celebrate earth day with the kids has been taken. On that occasion our little gems were engaged in different craft activities through which they were taught, how to take care of the environment and earth.

Graduation Day

The graduation day is organized for the gems who have crossed the little gems milestone. We bid them a warm farewell with a graduation cap to encourage and cheer them for the next milestones. The graduation ceremony is then followed by a photo session in the photobooth specially made for the graduates.

 
 

Oral Health Day

We make sure to teach the students about self care and hygiene from a very young age. Hence, oral health care comes under that self care lesson which is being taught by the teachers to the little gems on the occasion of Oral Health Day. The teachers demonstrated the method of brushing to the students along with the lessons for the importance of oral health care.

We, at Little Gems Play School always keep engaging the children into new activities to develop their fine motor skills. We encourage our little gems to explore the nature and learn while having fun at the same time. Saraswati Puja 2023

This year our little gems participated in Saraswati puja at our school premises. They were dressed in a really pretty traditional yellow dresses for the occasion of Basant Panchami and worshipped the Goddess along with our teachers. It was a really wonderful day for both teachers and students at our school.

 
 

International Lego Day

International Lego day is celebrated on January 28th all over the world. The word Lego means ‘play well’. Our little gems enjoyed while learning how to pick, sort and adjust things together with Legos at play school. Such activities help in creative thinking, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution and problem solving skills.

Little Gems in Fancy Dresses

Our little gems participated in a fancy dress activity - ‘shine with a rhyme’, where they dressed up as characters from different rhymes .They performed with confidence in front of their teachers and other students in the audience. Social Engagement

Engaging in social activities are one of the most important things that every child should be comfortable at. Our Little Gems celebrated Rabindra Jayanti with their teachers. They paid their respect to the pride of India through a small ceremony where they performed certain pieces from his creations and offered flowers as a tribute to the great poet.

 
 

Independence day

“Freedom in mind, faith in words, pride in our soul”—the 75th independence day was celebrated by our future torch bearers with great zeal and fervour. The kids were dressed up in tri coloured clothes.There were small performances and plays that were organized by our fellow teachers to encourage and educate our students about their nation. It is always important to teach our children about different classes of our society. They are taught to be respectful to everyone without whom our society is incomplete. Ratha Yatra is considered one of the most popular religious and cultural activities in India. But Rath for kids is a completely different aspect of that religious activity. We celebrated Ratha Yatra at our school by giving them a cute mini Rath to decorate with their friends. Yoga Day

The physical wellbeing is as important as much as education. So we engage our students in developing different activities that will make them aware of their physical wellbeing from a very young age.
