G.D.Birla Centre for Education has been a monumental support in my life’s journey. From the diverse programmes that we were encouraged to participate in, to the structured academic coursework each year, the impact G.D.Birla. had on me is undeniable. I have now graduated from the best institute for fashion in India – National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi – at the top of my class, and now I shall be pursuing a Master’s degree in Fashion Design Management from one of the top Fashion schools in the world, the London College of Fashion.

As I ventured into the world and interacted with people from diverse backgrounds, I have realised how grateful I am for building my foundation at this school. The teachers here are exceptionally supportive and knowledgeable, and the rich cultural exposure provided by our school has been remarkable in refining our tastes and interests. The frequent visits to Birla Kala Mandir for performances by touring musicians, or theatre and plays, were experiences unique to our school.

The wide variety of subjects offered at G.D. Birla played a significant role in shaping my interests and skills. Subjects like Fashion Design gave me an early edge when I entered that field, while extracurricular options like Radio Jockey helped improve my public speaking skill and level of confidence. The emphasis on speaking and communicating in proper English has empowered us to stand out amongst our peers. The school has constantly motivated us with encouragement and recognition. I still remember receiving an iPad as a gift from none other than Madam Manjushree Khaitan, when I was accepted into NIFT, New Delhi. That very iPad had supported me through all my years at NIFT and made my digital design work even better. I am incredibly proud to be an alumnus of GDB. This school has shaped me into the person I am today.
